Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that sites send to the user’s device, where they are stored and sent back to the same sites on the next visit. Similar technologies (such as the browser’s “local storage”) can store information in a comparable way. They can be “first-party”, if set by the site, or “third-party”, if set by external domains.

This site’s approach

This site is designed to minimise the use of cookies and does not use advertising or profiling cookies. Visit statistics are collected in anonymous, aggregated form, without cookies, and only with your consent. The only data stored on your device concerns your cookie preferences.

Cookie categories and consent

On your first visit a banner lets you accept or reject the non-necessary categories, with equal prominence between the two choices. You can accept all, reject all, or choose granularly. The categories are:

  • Necessary (always on): essential for the site to work and to store your cookie preferences; they require no consent.
  • Statistics (optional): aggregated, anonymous statistics via Vercel Web Analytics, enabled only after your consent.

Managing and withdrawing consent

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the site footer. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Third-party cookies

Any embedded videos are served by YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) in “youtube-nocookie” mode. For more information see Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
