Maria Elena Catelli

I was born in Frosinone in 1965 and I live in Alatri, in the heart of Ciociaria.

I studied at the «Norberto Turriziani» Classical Lyceum in Frosinone and took my degree in Law at the Sapienza University of Rome. I practise as a lawyer.

For many years I have devoted myself to the study and popularisation of sacred art in its many expressions and forms (architecture, painting and iconography, sculpture, mosaic works, etc.), with particular attention to Christian and religious symbolism.

My work focuses on the architecture and art of the monasteries of my territory, but also on the great masterpieces of sacred and spiritual art and on the lives of their greatest interpreters.

For over a decade I have devoted myself to studying and sharing the life and work of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, an extraordinary model of the Christian artist.

I give talks, lectures and themed performances.

I have written several publications and taken part in various television programmes.

I run a YouTube channel where I regularly publish videos and content on works of Christian art and art connected to spirituality.
